Real talk…My carry-on always includes my toiletries. Especially, my skincare. So, it's at my fingertips. Always! Travel is the fastest way to separate what’s essential from what’s just taking up space. When you’re limited by size, weight, and convenience, you stop bringing things “just in case.” You bring what you trust.
That’s the carry-on test.
Products that only work under perfect conditions don’t make the cut. Neither do routines that require too many steps, too much time, or too much guesswork. When you’re moving through airports, time zones, and long days, your skin needs reliability, not novelty.
The carry-on test isn’t about minimalism for the sake of it. It’s about elite performance under pressure (and will it make it through the scanner). If a product can:
- Support your barrier in dry cabin air
- Hold hydration when humidity drops
- Keep skin comfortable when sleep is short and days are long
Then it earns its place. If it can’t, it stays home.
This way of thinking changed how I approached skincare entirely. I stopped asking what looked impressive on a shelf and started asking what consistently showed up for my skin when conditions weren’t ideal. That philosophy runs through everything I build.
